Once again, Sinfonia Varsovia appears on the stage of the Szczecin Opera in the Castle, accompanying guitarist Krzysztof Meisinger. The concert will take place on 26 March.
The programme of the concert includes works from the guitarist’s latest album, devoted to the master of the tango – Astor Piazzolla. The audience will also hear film compositions by Ennio Morricone, who is particularly well-liked in Poland, and works by Spanish and South-American composers arranged for guitar and orchestra, such as Rodriguez’ La Cumparsita and Albéniz’ Asturias.
Krzysztof Meisinger will appear in the double role of soloist and conductor. Appreciated by music critics around the world, the artist has performed with, among others, Sumi Jo, Philharmonia Quartet Berlin and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields.
The guitarist’s debut performance with Sinfonia Varsovia also took place in Szczecin, at the Szczecin Philharmonic Concert Hall in May of 2015. That event attracted an over-capacity audience and concluded with a standing ovation.
The concert at the Opera in the Castle will be recorded and released on DVD.
