The mission of the Sinfonia Varsovia Academy is to prepare young musicians to play in the best orchestras by taking advantage of knowledge and experience shared by musicians of Sinfonia Varsovia.
This elite programme is intended for students and graduates of music schools. It is delivered in the form of workshops for individuals and for groups.
Young musicians selected in professional auditions gain an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of playing in an orchestra. The best will be invited to take part in concert and recording projects together with Sinfonia Varsovia. Academy participants have had opportunities to perform on stage with such artists as Charles Dutoit, Valery Gergiev, Lorin Maazel, Krzysztof Penderecki and Maxim Vengerov.
An additional benefit of the project is that outstanding participants take part in master classes run by world-class virtuosos, including violinist Alena Baeva and horn player Stefan Dohr.
The Sinfonia Varsovia Academy is organised by the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra. The project is partly financed from the funds of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
