Sinfonia Varsovia and Krzysztof Urbański - 18th Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival

Sinfonia Varsovia under the direction of Krzysztof Urbański will perform in the opening concert of the 18th Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival.
The concert will take place on Sunday, 6 April at the National Philharmonic Concert Hall in Warsaw.

The programme includes Richard Strauss’ symphonic poem Don Juan, op. 20, Antonín Dvořák’s 9th Symphony in E minor, op.95 From the New World and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Triple Concerto for violin, cello and piano in C major, op.56. The soloists in the Triple Concerto will be Julian Rachlin (violin), Claudio Bohórquez (cello) and Hinrich Alpers (piano). 

The Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra will be conducted by Krzysztof Urbański – an excellent conductor of the young generation, Music Director of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Chief Conductor and Artistic Leader of the Trondheim Symfoniorkester and First Guest Conductor of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.
Previously, Sinfonia Varsovia performed with Krzysztof Urbański in November last year at a gala concert concluding the festivities celebrating the 80th birthday of Krzysztof Penderecki.

The Inaugural Concert of the 18th Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival will be broadcast in Programme 2 of the Polish Radio.
