Summer symphonic concert series provides a unique chance to meet the orchestra in its full makeup – most philharmonics go on a holiday break during the summer. During these summer evenings, Sinfonia Varsovia’s Concert Pavilion will be filled with the powerful sounds of symphonic music, but also solo performances with orchestral accompaniment.
The symphonic repertoire includes mostly masterpieces and classics of the genre, but also film music, jazz, and opera. The Concert Pavilion’s stage often hosts brilliant soloists and conductors. So far, Sinfonia Varsovia performed with pianists Piotr “Pianohooligan” Orzechowski, Andrei Korobeinikov and Alexandre Kantorow, sopranista Karina Skrzeszewska, and tenor Rafał Bartmińśki, as well as such conductors as Alexandra Vedernikova, Krzysztof Herdzin, Bassem Akiki, and Gaetano d’Espinosa.
Our summer symphonic concerts are hosted by music journalists and musicologists who introduce listeners to the arcana of classical music, the biographies of the composers, and the context of the works’ origin.
