In June, Sinfonia Varsovia’s Concert Pavilion will be transformed into a dance floor. As it does every year, Sinfonia Varsovia is organizing a series of summer dance parties on Grochowska Street. From lively polkas and obereks, through the elegance of pre-war dancings, to the exuberance of Balkan music – on Fridays, June 12, 19, and 26, we invite you to join us for dancing to live music.

Izgrev – Bulgarian Folklore Ensemble from Warsaw

Finally, on June 26 – Balkan rhythms. The Sarakina ensemble and the Bulgarian Folklore Ensemble “Izgrev” will teach the dancing audience how to perform horo. This is a traditional processional dance originating from the Balkan Peninsula, often performed in a circle. The artists will demonstrate step by step what its various variations look like, such as the pravo horo, shirto horo, esikiysko horo, and chetvorno horo.
