The film shows Jonas Kaufmann at his home in Bavaria, where he spends time whenever he can with his wife Christiane Lutz (opera director) and their daughter. Privately, Kaufmann is warm and family-oriented. He likes cooking and watching thrillers.
On the screen we will see frequent guests in his house: his adult daughter from a previous marriage, friends from life and from the stage. From what they say about Kaufmann emerges an interesting and likeable artist and person.
