4. Basil on the Wings of Music (kids 3-8 years)

Basilisks are part lizard and part rooster, and Basil belongs to this very species of dragon. He takes great care of his wings and has a special fondness for other flying creatures. He dreams of flying high above the clouds himself, though so far he hasn’t been able to do it quite as well as he’d like. However, he practices every day to music because – as he says – music gives him wings! That’s exactly where the idea for a new concert with Basil came from! The dragon would like to introduce all his little friends to music that can give them wings. The titles of the pieces performed by the orchestra are related to birds and insects, and their sounds perfectly capture the sensation of soaring through the air. Let’s just hope Basil’s plans aren’t thwarted by the wasps, which, by some strange twist of fate, have built a nest right next to the stage...
