Michał Sobuś Associate Principal

Double bass in Sinfonia Varsovia since 2008

Attended the Henryk Wieniawski Primary and Secondary Music School in Łódź, the Karol Szymanowski Secondary Music School in Rzeszów and then the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. He completed his graduate studies at the USC Thornton School of Music in California.

He worked with the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw (1998), with the Silesian Chamber Orchestra (2000-2002), the AYS Symphony Orchestra, the YMF Debut Orchestra (2000-2002), the USC Chamber Orchestra (2001), the USC Symphony Orchestra (2002), the Mahler Chamber Orchestra (2002), the Sinfonietta Cracovia orchestra (2002) and with the orchestra of the National Opera in Warsaw (2003).

He has been working with the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra since 1998 as a free-lance musician and has held the position of deputy leader of basses since 2008.
