Experimental Tuesdays are a series of concerts by small ensembles presented as a part of Sinfonia Varsovia’s summer season. The concerts are aimed at listeners who are interested in inventive, mold-breaking music, new forms, and innovative creative strategies. The events correspond to the challenges of modernity – man’s influence on the environment, the climate crisis, and the progressing digitization of life.
The repertoire features pieces with visualizations and electronics; some of the artists will augment their instrument-playing with performance art. The first edition of Experimental Tuesdays examined the relationship between music and nature. The visiting ensembles performed pieces by both Polish and foreign composers, including Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil, Agata Zubel, Rafał Ryterski, Piotr Peszat, Brigitta Muntendorf, Jessie Marino, Martin Schuttler, Carola Bauckholt and Matthew Schlomowitz.
Experimental Tuesdays are curated by Wioleta Żochowska.
