Bum Bum Orkestar
Founded in 2014, Bum Bum Orkestar is a Polish band whose music blends Balkan, klezmer and Polish folk traditions. The influence of these three musical worlds makes their performances full of surprises – bursting with energy one moment, touching the heart with a plaintive melody the next, and ultimately compelling the audience to move to the beat. No two concerts are ever the same – each is unpredictable, spontaneous and uniquely theirs. The group’s name reflects exactly what they do and how they do it: explosive music – brilliantly played, charged with emotion, energy and power beyond measure. Bum Bum Orkestar is a band of soloists who together create what they call a “perfect harmony”. The ensemble has won awards at many of Poland’s leading folk festivals, including the Polish Radio Folk Festival New Tradition, Mikołajki Folkowe and Dragon Folk Fest. They have also represented Poland abroad, notably at the world-famous Guča Trumpet Festival in Serbia (2018).
