* Sinfonia Varsovia Academy
** European Orchestra Academy
The concert will feature interpretations developed during the project, including works by Bach, Bartók, Beethoven, Haydn, Mozart, Kreisler, and Rossini.
InterPlay (WspółGranie) is the result of a collaboration between the fellows of the Sinfonia Varsovia Academy and young musicians from the Budapest-based European Orchestra Academy. One of the four pillars of the programme, which involves international guests, is sharing music with audiences across various European countries. The residency in Poland facilitated musical cooperation with the Sinfonia Varsovia Academy participants and the organisation of a series of community concerts in institutions such as care homes, support centres, hospitals, and special schools. The European Orchestra Academy was initiated by Iván Fischer, Music Director of the Budapest Festival Orchestra and the European Union Youth Orchestra.
A week of performances in care and educational settings across Warsaw will culminate in a final concert featuring four ensembles: two string quartets and two mixed quartets. The young musicians will present short programmes previously shared with audiences during the community concerts. The performances will feature interpretations developed during the project, including works by Bach, Bartók, Beethoven, Haydn, Mozart, Kreisler, and Rossini.
