Bassoon in Sinfonia Varsovia since 2017

Piotr Kamiński born in Warsaw. he graduated of the Karol Szymanowski State Music School Complex No. 4 in Warsaw in the class of Andrzej Budejko (with distinction) and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of Professor Zbigniew Płużek.

Piotr Kamiński is a laureate of many distinctions in national and international competitions.

He works regularly together with the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, with which he has played in many countries in the world (Spain, Japan, Germany, France) and Poland, with such conductors as: C. Dutoit, V. Gergiev, L. Maazel, M. Minkowski, J. Semkow; also performances as a member of the Sinfonia Varsovia Wind Quintet, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Sopot, Gorzów Wlkp. Philharmonic Orchestra, Pan European Philharmonia.

Piotr Kamiński has performed as soloist with the UMFC Wind Orchestra, Pan European Philharmonia, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra (works by A. Vivaldi, C. M. von Weber W. Rowicki, A. Jolivet).

Since 2017 Piotr Kamiński has been a member of the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra.

  • 1st prize (with woodwind quintet), 2nd prize (with woodwind trio) at the IV Sochaczewski Chamber Music Encounters in Sochaczew (2006)
  • 1st prize at the II National Bassoon-Oboe Festival in Bytom (2007)
  • 1st prize at the I National Contest of Wind Instrumenst in Wrocław (2007)
  • 1st prize at the XXXIII Young Musician Competition in Szczecinek (2008)
  • 1st prize at the VII International ”Wind Instruments” Contest in Jastrzębie Zdrój (2008)
  • 1st prize at the VI National Festival of Wind Instruments “Etude 2008” in Szczecin (2008)
  • 1st prize at the IV Carl Maria von Weber International Bassoon Competition in Wrocław (2010)
  • 1st prize (with woodwind trio) at the VIII National Ensemble Competition of Wind Instruments in Warsaw (2010)
  • 1st prize (with woodwind quintet) at the X National Ensemble Competition of Wind Instruments in Warsaw  (2014)
  • 2nd prize (1st not awarded, with „Saphir” woodwind quintet) and special prize for H. Tomasi „Cinq Danses Profanes et Sacrées” interpretation at the VIII H. Tomasi International Woodwind Quintet Competition in Marseille (2015)
